well i have been thinkin about getting a dog lately. i have a nice fenced in yard and my roommate has a dog that my dog would be able to rip with when i am at work.

my reason for getting a dog is that i need to learn patience and understanding and i need some responsibility in my life. since i cant get a girlfriend i think a dog would do these things for plus they are very cool animals.

i am thinking about just going to the animal shelter to get a mut. they seem ot always be the best dogs anyway. i think they know that they are getting saved and they end up loving you a lot more. i am looking for a short haired mut though.

Reason #32412 why dogs rule. After my post ride shower yesterday my dog seemed very interested in my left knee, kept sniffing and licking it. Not normal behavior for him. Upon further inspection I had a microscopic little tick on my leg he was trying to eat.

You can barely take care of yourself, can you take care of another individual?
For their first year, your dog will be with you basically at every moment, are you cool with that? That means going home from the bar to let it out, having your dog lick your toes when you're railing, etc.
