I want to move to BC!!!
Hi all,

Will a Ti spring offer anything apart from weight savings and more longetivity on the spring rate in comparison with the stock steel 2.00x750 that i have now? that is for an SX frame and a Vanilla R shock.

Also, on a different matter, 210lbs (ungeared) rider...SX frame, bomb-run-trailriding.... = D321 rims... Yay or Nay?

Weight alone is why ti springs are popular. I've heard from several people, one from progressive suspension, that ti springs actually do have a slightly snappier rebound. Once you start using any kind of damping though, that pretty much becomes a moot point. If you're not worried about weight, it seems unecessary to blow the money on one.

I just built up a 321 for my enduro jump bike tonight after flatspotting a sun rim. They are one of the strongest rims out there, regardless of what you weigh. Build'em up with 14g straight gauge spokes and it will be one very burly wheelset. Again, the only issue is weight......the ARE DH rims.

Cheers kidwoo,

I ll bite the extra 80gr of the D321 any time of day in order to have double eyelets and bombproof wheels. I can easily loose them from somewhere else. (stem, bars, tires).

As for the spring. I guess it will be the last upgrade to the bike when everything else is complete and if i have spare cash to fork out.

Of course porn will be posted when the SX is in its ultimate form.

BTW i got an awesome Wiley Coyote Decal yesterday for the frame ...custom made ;)

sure, why not?
I've got a D321 on the front and a D521 on the back... only because I'm too lazy to drive around and pick up a new D321
