New Belgium Brewings Tour de Fat Celebrates Its Tenth Anniversary by Adding San Diego to the Tour!
Saturday, October 3rd, in Balboa Park. 9AM to 4PM
Tour de Fat, New Belgium Brewings traveling celebration of all things bicycle, celebrates a decade of honoring mankinds greatest invention - the bike - and is ready to hit double-digits in style. Born in Ft. Collins, Colorado to increase awareness and participation in cycling as a sustainable form of transportation, Tour de Fat has grown into a national rite of passage for cycling advocates and bon vivants alike. The festival will be in San Diego October 3rd.
This year is a big year for us as Tour de Fat celebrates a decades worth of passionate bike advocacy. Its going to be a ballyhoo and a half. Dont miss it!

Volunteer Opportunities:
Each show opens with a costumed bike parade through the host city, Tour de Fat celebrates the power of the bike by encouraging everyone to embrace their inner-cyclist and ride the streets as a rolling carnival of creativity. Volunteer to assist with the parade by registering people and being a Ride Marshall, and get a front row view.
SDMBA is also maintaining the busy merchandise booth and we need your help. Help us raise money for SDMBA and the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition.
These are the bare minimums we need to fill positions for.
5 people per shift for the Merch booth (hoping for 2 shifts)
At least 3 per shift for the SDMBA booth (2 shifts if possible)
20 people for the parade to act as sweeps (Ride Marshall) during parade only
20 people for registration
If you are signed up for registration you can also be a Ride Marshall, or you can just be a RM or just be in registration!
