Howdy, my G/F and i are going through colorado to las vegas in august on a mtb holiday on the way home to australia.
We've got a list of places to visit but we're having trouble with car rental. we want to leave the car(prefere a van) at las vegas and since it's high season most of the quotes on the net are coming back around $1200USD for 2weeks!... ouch! . Do any locals know of cheap car rental places to look up which allow drop off at other cities, or should we wait till we get there and run the gauntlet? Is there a good supply of cheap used cars around the denver/boulder area? It only needs to get us to Las vegas with heaps of stops in between, is it feasable to get a $500 car and give it away when we get to las vegas?.
