Don't get a forward offset seatpost, get a shorter stem. Or better yet, sell those cowhorns and old-school bars and get some slam-bars. People who ride bikes shouldn't be in the way-forward aero position that used to be popular with tri-geeks. Instead keeping the same pedaling position you are used to and reducing frontal area with a set of bars optimized for a more normal position is going to be more efficent for you. You don't want to look like Chris Boardman circa '95.

I'n not sure I could find a 650 c fork for a size 58 bike , that is a lot of stetter tube .

but I am going to wait and see how much offset forward I will need for the new seatpost.
I think there just may be a Profile BRC 650c fork hiding out in the garage somewhere if you were truly interested in a CF fork 650 for aroun $50!

PM if yer interested! I'd love to find that thing a home!

We have this kicking it in the office here...
Stuart O'Grady's from the Tour...pretty sweet. Too small for me, but my coworker was borrowing it for a while...

Splat, the other thing you may want is a fast forward seatpost. Profile makes them as do a couple other companies. It's basically a reverse layback post. Heck, a Thompson layback in reverse may work. Anyhow, that will get you more forward. You need that in order to be able to get good lung expansion and leg extension when in the aero bars.

TT rules! I built a real TT bike over the winter and I'm in the process of building a TT specific tandem so MrsCouch and I can, hopefully, buy some time.

We do the NEBC Charlie Baker in Concord, MA on Wed nights. It's a ton of fun, uh, well, the suffering is over quickly ;)

PK just bought a TT bike also and MrsCouch has one as well. We've been doing that for two years now. I've also done one 2 years ago up in Bethel, ME. Thats it though. Would love to find some other ones.
