Actually its due to the fact that experienced riders are so set about the kind of pedals they are gonna use, the bike manufacturer just couldnt please enough people with its pedal choice. So they just leave em off.

Ok, the only thing I´d change would be the stem. And the frame would be a Turner O2, since the stinger isn´t made anymore.

Can somebody explain me how this shock works?

Yeah dude that Turner is sweet. Turner is on the top of my list for a new bike right now.

The moots ybb is an beautifully crafted rig.
The work they do on the welds in soooooo
purrty.

One Race machine one should consider if
they indeed are going to race xpert level and
up would be the new C-dale scalpel 4000
or whatever is there high end one. that
thing is like 23 lbs with full disc brakes.
On the negative note, it is a race bike so
i think i would hold up to only 2 seasons
of xc racing.

I juss loves da way everybody comments on how good some bikes welds look, when it's gots allmost nottin' ta do wit how good da welds really are. Tings ta look for in a good weld are, good root penatration (you gots ta destroy it or x=ray it ta see dat). Postheat treament (chu wud havta polish an' acid etch an' magnify ta see da grain structure an' know what chu was lookin' at) an' chu should have next ta no undercut [(washedout basemetal at da toe of da weld) this you can see or feel]. If da weld was sanded to a smooth contour transending into da basemetal it would be a little stronger even if a slight amount of da basemetat was removed, but dis would be redundent on a bicycle. Notice dat frames don't fail at da weld but close by in da heat effected zone (somewhere chu don't look at). Even a small pinhole (gas piping) has little effect on da strength of a weld compared to da otter tings I mentioned.
