So I get an unscheduled 3-day weekend, and have been wanting to visit my Dad and Grandma in Lancaster for some time. Take advantage of it, and get down here to surprise Dad (pre-arranged visit with G-ma), and am sure glad I did. Got up this morning, and made them bagels. And they came out ggooooodd.
I wanted to let the one of you know that in an earlier post, you suggested mixing the dough by hand. Because they don't have a "proper" mixer, I had to, and to my amazement, the dough came out decent. I haven't tasted them yet, as we're waiting for Dad to get home, but at least they look like they should.
Guess if they didn't cook right, I can always she-lack them and they can use them for center-pieces on the table..............
