Hey. Anynyone here know if Shimano made a bad run of splined LX cranks. I have a pair and they will not stay tight and make a bunch of noise in the process. I tried greasing everything, but they still loosen up. Any ideas?

That is very unlikely to happen because they use the same machines that produce all the others. Use even heavier grease, go to napa, and get some car all prupose grease, and get a good load of that stuff where it needs to be, and wipe the access off, it definately should not creak, and as for loosening, use some threadlock where the bolt threads into the BB. This works all the time, but make sure allow the threadlock to dry for a good day. Other than that, i would have to say damn...you do have some pretty messed up cranks if that stuff doesnt work, if it doesnt work, take it to your local shop, and get them to work on it.
