Was there a bad run of splined LX cranks?

Hey. Anynyone here know if Shimano made a bad run of splined LX cranks. I have a pair and they will not stay tight and make a bunch of noise in the process. I tried greasing everything, but they still loosen up. Any ideas?

I had the same problem with the XTs I bought last spring. I round filed them after about 3 months :( :angryfire

Nobody,

I've only run the combo a few times, but they're going to go on my new bike, so I'm a little worried. I'll be using either a 68x113 or 68x118mm Shimano ES-70 BB.

Heu there colin I am not sure if the Idea has been offered up yet but you might use Generic bolts from FSA they are good quality.
If you are really running into problems with the arms coming of make sure that when you tighten the bolt you do so seperately form the spanner washer as the washer acts as an extractor.
