I am presently looking to upgrade my front fork on my Gary Fisher Tassajara. I am 225 lbs and 6'3" tall. I am looking for something with 100mm of travel and a lockout on it. I want something better than what I have, RS Jett, but not that will kill the bank account. Trying to stay under $150 on a used fork, it has to be V-Brake and a longer tube.
What do you all suggest for me to look for. I just moved to Longmont, Co and am excited to get back into MTB.

anyone out there? What about the Dart 2, or the Manitou Axel Comp? Also, does anyone know if my 1999 GF Tassajara would have a 1 1/8 steer tube or another diameter? Seriously in need of some experts on here to help me with suggestions. Thanks, Jason

Yep, 1 1/8th inch headset size. For forks, consider some of the lower end Magura stuff (Asgard, Vidar). Great build quality and reliable - underated forks in my opinion.
