The lowdown? Feels like a hardtail when you climb. Really rough, fast decsents would be smoother with more active suspension, but I don't mind the tradeoff. It's an XC bike and that's what I bought it for. No 5-ft drop-offs in my future with this bike.

As far as floating, it doesn't do so well in that area. Tried to float it across a creek on Sunday and the darned wheels just sank in the mud. False advertising, man.

That might be because you have an NSR, not an NRS (see your signature).

Not only does it NOT float, they sold me a NSR to boot....
