need to get a new xc/freeride wheelset asap. looking for balance of durability, weight, and cost. i'm hard on gear, so need durability for sure. also gimme some website recs as well to purchase form. the bike it is going on now is an 05 trek liquid 25 w/manitou black fork, but hope to replace in the next couple months and move the wheelset. i'm thinking the mavic deetraks is a good buy.

if youve got the cash, the mavics would be an excellent buy. I personally didnt have the cash flow at the time, so i got a set of azonic outlaws. not quite on the level of the mavics, but so far so good. and i ride a lot of urban with decent drops to flat on concrete a lot, and even on sketchy landings theyve stayed true.
