I'm about to take the leap to drill the pumping rod on my Marzocchi Z3 to help with spiking. It's a 2001 130mm model, OEM on my Specialized Big Hit.

The latest I've read on discussions is to drill a 1.5mm hole 10mm above the bottom hole. In the attached pic you can see dimples 30mm and 50mm above the last hole. Should I still drill one 10mm above, or drill at the lower dimple?

When I drilled my Jr T I did it 10mm above the bottom hole. Fork works much better now and locks out less. Good luck.
