f/1.4 > f/2.8 :D

I really like my Sigma 10-20 as well. No real reason for f/2.8 with that kind of lens. Well, maybe for you - but do you really shoot that wide at these concerts?

i would like to shoot that wide, w/ the right band/location/lighting (or hand-held off-camera flash). i find myself using the 15mm fisheye as an ultrawide substitute.

check out todd owyoung's site (ishootshows.com); he uses the nikon 14-24 on his D3 a ton.

i was considering the cheaper 17-40L which is a stop slower at f/4...i am not too afraid to shoot ISO 6400 w/ the 5mkII but even then it's a stretch w/ available light at some of the gigs.

i don't use the 35L a lot, but when i do there's no substitute.
