Sweet! I'm looking at 12/24 solo and team events now. I have a girlfriend that wants to do a 2-person effort with me (our men are the crew LOL) and I plan on doing one solo (all you boys can stop thinking I can't because I know that I can) ;)

Well if the MONKEYS would pick an official alternative race for '06 and if we can figure out how to cram five guys onto a four guy team, I'll be ready to commit!

:dancing:

:blah:
Is the Churn and Burn one any good and can we compete as a 5 guy team?

Anyone know if JT is still alive??? Haven't heard from that team mate in ages.

they have a 5 to 10 person catagory, and the course must be pretty short (based on last years lap times)

I want to get back into some 24's this year. Anyone doing a few races? I won't be able to make Pueblo, I have about 100 pounds to lose after being in a cast for 3 months.

Moab?
What events are there in your (meaning Bend) neck of the woods? 24 Hours of Phil's would rock.

Gee, the Adrenalin schedule was supposed to be released today, but there is nothing on the website and I didn't get an e-mail. That's surprising because they are usually so prompt and on time when it comes to this stuff.

It just came out today I think. I've done the 12 Hour DH race @ Big Bear, but not XC. I think this is my year for my first. It'll be the 24 Hours of Laguna Seca, since I'm about 5 miles away from an entrance, makes the most sense.
All leading up to me wanting to do the '07 Trans Rockies with a buddy of mine. We've been wanting to do that for probably 3 years or so. It'd be incredible. So I have almost two years to get into that kinda shape...:)

You GO Girl! That's the spirit! Folks who approach these things as misery and suffering have already pre-loaded themselves with negativity and are missing the Joy-Boat. You, however, are headed for success and have a Winner's attitude. I would wish you the best, but I can see you've already won the mental game and are going to have a great season! I'm proud of ya! :) :D :dancing:

I'd like to do at least one 24-hour this year. My race schedule in general (DH and 24-hour) will be limited with the new baby at home. Not sure if Goddy43 and I will be putting the same 5-man team back together or not? Maybe he and I should do one as a duo? Steve?

Me and Splat have been talking about doing an endurance duo. I'm not sure about a 24 though. I have a hard enough time surviving a six hour ride.

I was really stoked reading about this until I got down to rule # 15....

All federal, state, local and Boy Scout rules will be in effect, including:
• No firearms
• No illegal drugs
• No dogs or other pets!!!
• Fires are allowed in existing fire pits only.
• No alcoholic beverages permitted! Your entire team will be disqualified and asked to leave the property, if you or your support crew bring alcohol! We are guests of the Boy Scouts of America and this is their mandatory rule.

Unfortunately that race is on Boy Scouts property. Not much they can do about it. I guess the people who do that one are there to race.
