What do people think of the 2004 gt dhi? is it prone to snapping like the ones before it were? Also, how does it ride, is it very race orientated?

Yes it is a very race orientated bike. Iam not sure about them snapping i thought gt had beefed the swingarm area up a bit to prevent such a problem

that's why we drink it here
I'm a hardtail owner, with a bmx background, and the dhi is the only bike I've ever liked the feel of when standing up and pedaling. I haven't tried the new VPP stuff yet, but for now it's my fave.

im not sure whether to go with it or a transition dirtbag with dangerboy plates. I know very different bikes but i race and want to do well and im not sure if the transition will limit me whilst racing. Anybody got any ideas which bike to go for?

The transition is more of a freeride bike by the geometry, whatever freeride means. I'd reccomend the Dhi given only those two choices.
