I wouldn't think so, since the bead is such a small part of the tire and usually within the rim. Stiffer sidewalls definately make a difference though.
No difference whatsoever. All the kevlar or steel does is keep the tire bead from stretching under the pressure of inflation to keep the tire on the rim. Kevlar is much lighter so performance is better. Some tires have an anti pinch flat strip on the bead which cushions any hits. Stiff casings aslo help as its harder at a given pressure to pinch.
