If you can't tell in this video the trail is unbelievably slick and muddy. At times you can see how thick the mud is as it packs on our tires.

Looks fantastic...I bet those steep climbs were painful in the mud.

Wow that's crazy how muddy it was there. Downhill was 90% bone dry on saturday when we were there, what day(s) were you guys riding?

Oh and those trails look amazing. If we had XC stuff like that around Columbus I'd be riding XC almost as much as DH. I need to plan a 3-day trip to Windrock at some point in the spring or summer and fit a day of XC in there. Props on the trail building to all those who contribute to it!

Thanks for the replies. The stuff is really cool and unlike most of the XC around these parts i.e. its technical.

The muddy stuff was on Sunday. That section of trail is north facing and for almost two weeks was frozen solid. It thawed on Sunday and resulted in a mess to ride in.

The third video above is about half way down the hill and this video shows the conclusion. This is even more above that we have yet to cut in. We are hoping for a primarily down hill trail that takes around 15-20 minutes to ride with some necessary uphills to maximize the DH.

Man that looks like a lot of fun. How long is the Windrock XC trail going to be? I love the DH stuff there, it would be cool to have some pedally stuff as well...

That Windrock xc stuff looks really cool. Brian has been telling me about them for quite a while, but every time I drive that far, I just end up riding downhill and jumps. I think I'll bring the xc bike next time too. It would be really cool if there were some flowy jumps integrated in there too.
