I just ordered a new Heckler frame. The shop said that they ordered it with the Fox coil over shock. I asked if it was the DHX or the RC? He never asked SC.
Anyone know what Fox to expect?
They have a bike with a 5th to swap if its a RC.

With the poor falling rate suspension design of the Heckler, you'd better hope it's the DHX. Otherwise expect a terrible ride. :dead:

Actually I put an RC without propedal on my Heckler and I think it feels awesome. I'm sure a dhx would feel even better but the RC doesn't feel bad at all. I have ridden this bike with the following shocks and the RC feels the best.
1.5th coil
2.Stratos ElJefe
3.Fox Float
4.Fox RC
It's lighter than the Stratos, more reliable than the 5th, stronger than the float (it doesn't hold air anymore) and bottoms-out pretty nice. It Pedals good enough for trail riding and I ride it pretty hard all the time. overall it's a good shock to have on the bike.

I don't understand your post. You say you liked the RC best but rated it last.
I've never had a 5th element fail on any of the bikes I was trying to break. I run a 5th on my heckler and it works perfectly. Totally adjustable for each type of riding, skate parks-downhill.
Vanilla RC's are economy old school in my opinion and I've had two fail, as have my friend.

There have been two page spread ads for the '05 hecklers in several mtb mags for the last couple months.

Hecklers rule.

Sell the DHx thing & get yourself an old RC then get it tuned.

Why ride stock if you can have a custom shock. It don't make good cents.

PUSH also is working on tuning the DHX to make an even better ride.
