I'm interested in putting this fork on my hardtail for singletrack cruising and some dirt jumping. If anybody running this fork could give me some info: such as it's crown to axle length, weight, ball park price and any other pros or cons, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks, Jason

yo!

hey man, this is adam. you should have told me about your interest in this when we were at whistler. i could have given you all the info you wanted.

i have the fork on my norco 5 hun (fully rigid, 13" frame w/ bmx bottom bracket, and set for single speed). it rides well for urban and smooth trails. it is nice to not have an extra wheel (since most rigid forks are QR, and I know you have a 20mm already). it is setup for a suspension corrected 5", which means that it is like running a 5" single crown with 1" of sag. I replaced my marzo DJII with the Funn rigid and the ride geometry did not change noticeably (it was one of the newer DJII's, not the one of the old ones i snapped  ). It is also wide enough that i can run my 3.0 nokian on it with plenty of room. i could probably get a 4.0 in there if they made one.

I ride it in the urban jungle most of the time and it works great for that. Damn stiff. I also have taken it up and down some moderately technical trails. it will take the abuse, but you do have to keep on your toes and remember that it has ZERO give if you hit an unexpected rock.

Dude, it is a Funn fork and a fun fork. Get one from the boys at go-ride. It is a small price to pay for some Funn.

three more things...

you asked about price. i think i paid about around one bill for it. like i said, call the go-ride.com boys and they will set you straight on the price.

as for the weight, i did not put it on the scale but would bet that it is a bit lighter than my 03 DJII, but not sure how much. like i said above regarding the geometry, there was not a noticeable change when i moved to this fork due to weight either.

the brake alignment works great too. i am running 8" hayes with no rub problems. i have set it up with my regular hayes and the hfx9's and not had any issues (other than the usual hfx9 problems).

YO! Adam thanks for the info. I'm looking to put this fork on my Subterranean, I think it will work out well. If you get a chance do me a favor and measure how many inches there are from the crown to axle. Great Whistler trip this year eh! Hope all is well.

i took a quick look and did the best i could with an unsteady eye and a measuring tape. it appears to be 16" from the center of the axle to the top of the crown (base of the headset/headtube). the crown itself is about 3" thick, but i don't think it matters what the axle to the base of the crown is (just throwing it in for the hell of it).

is that subterranean orange, or is my memory wrong? the black fork and orange bike would look great for halloween :D

get it an ride it. :thumb:

This fork is the bomb.
Your Sub-T is built very close to the numbers and tube spec as the Endless is, so I think you'll find this fork as perfect a match as I've found it to be for my bike!
The fork has such a great feel, I'm totally sold.

it is not listed on their site, but go-ride.com will get you one. anybody that sells funn parts should be able to get one. places that sell banshees also have access to this fork since it can be ordered stock on a built up banshee scratch.
