I think you must have a different definition of freeride than I do. That looks like a 4x/aggro trail/jumping bike, but not burly enough for freeride. But maybe I'm just a hack.
Actually, that was only in the beginning. Apparently they didn't license it and it is not horst link now. Mine is an 04 and it is not. The 03s were for sure, but they did not have the little FSR sticker.
that bike is totally huckable! are you kidding? that thing can take a 13 footer for sure, if my steelhead can with xc components than so can that, but i weigh 140, i think bikes are too burly.
Good thing it doesn't have a Horst/fsr on it,the old Dakar that had it had one of the worst wheel paths ever! FSR combined with an upside down swing link causes an extremely foreward wheelpath!
I pissed off this leg shaver on a paved climb when he tried to drop me on his Dakar and the harder he tugged on his bar ends the more the rear end would honk down.I think he was more pissed that i had knee pads and a full face strapped to my pack then he was at his poor performing xc race bike that was unable to drop me on my ASX.
That is indeed a Brushed finish on a 4X.
PS if anyone knows this guy tell him to pull out his fork out of the frame to check the steer tube for cracks after every ride!!!!! That is the super dangerous Supernova that started the 1.5 revolution at Manitou!!! Seen 3 broken!!!
