Hi there,
my name is Simon, I usually live in Italy but am here in D.C. (actually living in Alexandria, VA) for a 3 month internship.
I've brought my DH bike with me ('03 Iron Horse SGS Pro) and I'm eager to ride it...
Last october while I was here visiting I rode with the DC street guys and it was a lot of fun, they suggested me this forum for more DH-FR oriented stuff.

I will be travelling to the US Open for sure (possibly racing) but I'd also like to ride the Shed on the may 20-21st weekend.
Anyone going?
Thanks,
Simon

actually, people around here are unusually friendly... but they don't put up with a lot of the **** that goes on in most message boards. since simon's a very cool guy, he has nothing to worry about.

gotta get our act together for the Open, i know... did you hear anything else about those rental trailers at the campground?? that sounded like a cool idea. i might have an open spot in my truck, but my tenative plan is to leave here around 3am on thursday and come back sunday night.

Hey corey!
I hope to be able to come out thursday but my bike hasn't arrived yet.
Tomorrow I'll start my internship and I will call out the shipping company to get some news. If I get it before thursday, for shure!
If I don't come out I'll PM you about the Open...I have yet to discover if I can get the friday off (shouldn't be a problem). As soon as I'll know it I'll register.
If I don't get the day off I will try to come on my own on friday evening after work, to just ride Diablo, see the race and hang out.

oh wow I'm the prick because I changed my name because of assholes like corey WITHOUT starting ****, minding my own business and look what happen ol stalker comes along and makes a big deal of things like im "hiding". If I didn't want anyone to know who I was I wouldn't post up things that would give it away. Leave me the **** alone already, go talk **** to someone that won't do something in person.

Lots here are going to both Massanutten and to the US Open.

I might have another Italiano to ride around but he needs to borrow a bike - medium/small. Where is your internship?

yeah if you race then there will two foreigners and we can call it an ""international race." only appropriate since it's a world cup course (during the last millennium).

It really was a WC course - but back when everyone wore lycra, used cantilever brakes, and had no rear suspension. It's not a WC course by today's standards - no drops or steeps or jumps (unless they have some surprises lined up).
