So I rode Nisene today and when I got back to the dirt parking lot I saw 3 ranger cars, a paramedic trucks and a few riders, one of them had his fingers in a cup full of ice. Some friends and I asked the riders what happened and they said they were on the lower trails in Nisene and they were clearing out a whip when some guy with a bunch of dogs said said "Get Off my trail!!" (even though it wasn't his). Then he put some logs over the whip, then the guys riding moved it so he jumped at one of them, put him in a headlock and bit his fingers (One of them looked kinda bad when I saw it). Then there was a little fight and the guy ran off. I'm probably missing some of the details, but that's the extent of it... I don't think I'll be hitting Nisene for a while. Crazy stuff :eek:

Am I stupid because I don't know what a whip is. Is it just a thin fallen branch?

I have seen so many sticks/logs and branches placed across the trails lately it's insane.

Yeah, his fingers were attached. They did the crazy man a little but he was kicking, scratchin and biting and he ran off. I heard one of his dogs got involved with the brawl too.

A whip jump....like a hip.

About the logs in the trail: I nailed a fat one the other day and fell on a rock... it's getting annoying :mumble:

Crazy a-holes like that guy make me sick. I hope they catch him and sting him up with the dirtbag putting logs in the trails at UC. :evil:

ahhh...

I've always considered a whip as a type of trick you can do off of a jump and a hip as the type of jump best suited to doing whips. But I guess it could be like a tabletop that is both a jump and a trick although not because tabletop jumps are particularly conducive to pulling tabletops but because they are flat across the top like a table.

Anyway that biter guy is real piece of sh!t who deserves a good whoopin'

EDIT: there were a lot of logs/sticks on airborne today. many more than even just a few days ago. There were also logs on U-con and even some of the singletracks in the trees by the hippie tee pee and the small doubles. The funny thing is 99% of these sticks do absolutely no harm and don't even get in the way yet some toolbox is wasting his life trying to hurt someone. What a f'in chode :rolleyes:

Ouch , when i lost my finger it was fast, i couldnt imagine it slow( someone knawing it off) thats insane. whata douche

Nope , i only lost half of one. It wasnt worth it, the rest were mangled but seem to have healed up pretty good. Cant feel anything though

Dare I ask what happened? Judging by the fact that it was fast I'm guessing some sort of machine related accident. You don't have to tell I'm just curios. :)

No problem, its the greatest thing ever considering i work with kid's. Normaly i tell them a bear bit it off while i was fighting it for a trophy salmon but it was a skillsaw, apparantly i didnt have the skill. Just cutting blocks and the blade pinched and ran up the board and over my left hand. I got the time and money to go back to school so i look at it as the best thing ever. Thats the boring side, the bottom looks cooler but i dont have a picture.
Oh yeah , i get a 10% discount if i ever want a manicure!

What is with all this weird trail crap going on. I have a jackass messing with my trail and 90% of that is on private land I have permission to build on. The other 10% is a public multi use trail. That's it the next time I catch this guy he is having a little accident. Self defense...right?

Is the private land posted? If so, you'd be better off getting a photo of the guy messing with the trail, warning him off and giving his photo to the sheriff and rangers. It might not be the only place he pulls this crap.

Same if he's messing with a legitimate multi-use trail, photograph him. Bet the forest service would have some things to tell him.

Yep already did it and posted one on his front door. The original and the negitive will be in police hands the next time. I caught this bastard!!! Called USFS yesterday and let them know what's up too. May post a flyer with his pic at the trailhead too...warning others. Maybe someone will beat his ass for me.

Same sort of odd was happening up in Tahoe last summer. Some hippy group was stringing monofiliment wire in the tree at neck height, trying to decapitate someone.

For hippies being loving types, these bastards are getting kinda sideways.

We ran into some a few years back in Reno on a trail trying to build a tiger pit. We seriously considered putting them in pit they were digging, doing some old school Nevada justice...
