Since it's so close for me to go, and sadly Snowshoe is so far away, I went today. Actually, I went there to get over the fear of riding since I did the rib thing.
First and foremost, kudos to Coob.......This guy is really trying to get some semblance of riding up there, and all by himself. Hes a really nice guy, willing to lend a hand. Hes doing the best he can to get many of the stuff the old crew had done to be groomed and safe again. So far so good. Its just sad its by himself. Coob recognizes all the work done originally, and is very humble in his approach to the trails.
Damn dude, for one guy you sure did a sh*tload of work.... the designers would be proud. The new stuff was cool, and because it was coob's doing, not a half-a$$ed...blah blah blah, the added stunts were safe and well thought out. Old stunts were made safe again.
As far as management, Ill leave that alone, its not my place.
I had a REAL rough start ..but towards the end of the day it was finally working for me. Truth be told, I wanted to go to WG before SS so I wouldnt embarrass my self to bad in front of everyone.
I have found out that homesick is not to miss the place, but to miss the memory of the place. I had so much fun with all the guys when they were there.
Coob, my hats off to you for all the work youve done.
I look forward to meeting up with old friends again that I have truly come to miss dearly. Maybe with some luck, this weekend coming up, I can make it up there (SS) for a day or two. Good Lord willing!
Bottom line, I made a new friend, and missed my old ones.
Regards,
SK6
