I'm hoping that any of the monkies in the DC area have the Hadley hub tools. I am trying to install the 12mm thru option on my new rear wheel and discovered that you need special tools to work on the hubs.

If any of you monkies have the tools or know of a shop that has these tools can you send me a PM. All help is definately appriciated.

It's the rear one. And my front hadley is a 20mm thru, if you were to use a cone wrench it's like a 25 or something abnormal. I might be able to use a red spanner to get one side of the conversion on. But I still need the right size wrench to get the other side on.

Thanks for advice.

It's a 21mm wrench, thin jawed. The biggest Park cone wrench is 19mm.

I have a set of Hadley Tools down here in Richmond if you get desperate.

one thing you could do is take a 19mm cone wrench and grind it out to 21mm then. and now you would have your onw wrench forever. it shouldn't be that hard

I tried alot of local shops and couldn't find any of them that had the tools. I am working on trying to find a set. But if worse comes to workse I might have to take Dartman's offer up.

Thanks for all the help guys, sorry I didn't respond sooner.

Erik Balle at http://www.balleracing.com used to sell them and is now recommending the pin spanner/thin jaw wrench method. Perhaps he could still get you a set.

What the?!?! Where have you been? Still ride DH?
Took some time off the DH bike, trained and road the 100 miler, bought a motorcycle, fished some, broke my collarbone (not on the mc), got really tired of RM....

You know, the usual. I bet I'll have the urge back after the winter. Maybe EP a new bike, that always makes you want to ride!
