Flashback to Chem 261 about 10 years ago:

We had a prof who was a bit of a joker. He's at the board, furiously scribbling down a reaction, and he shouts out "I need an acid. Name your favorite!"

All of a sudden, he turns around, and in all seriousness says, "Don't say Lysergic. I got in a lot of trouble over that."

It also helped that he had exactly the same name that a male porn star of the era did...fun times.
