The Cleft of Venus
I am planning hitting at least the South Boundry Trail at Taos, NM and White Mesa outside Albuquerque, NM this summer.

I also want to head up to Denver and ride some Front Range goodness. I usually take 2 weeks of leave in Jun or Jul.

Where are you all headed this summer?

Multiple races and I'm heading to Whistler for about 10 days late July. Maybe Rye airfield for one of the comps. Random trips to Angle Fire to ride the WC DH course because it's close to my house. I might alos go to NorthStar for a week with my mom so she can fish and I can ride.

I am sure I'll do an edurance race or two, and of course a couple of weekend trips to Kingdom Trails will be in order.

Monkeyfest is always a fun weekend, although nothing has been planned yet.

Can we do monkeyfest somewhere close to say.... Amarillo, Texas?

Let me know when you go to do those. Both of those trails look really nice. I could use a good excuse to visit my sister in ABQ.

Talked about some ideas last night over beers. Possibilities are some of the loops of Montezuma's revenge & The Gunnison Cutoff. I'm also thinking about the Triple Bypass.

Central ME/Allagash area since Ill be there anyway for 4wheeling/hiking :)

If we go out to Bend to visit my brother this summer (he and his wife are expecting their first child in early May) then I'll get some riding in at that time, probably the first week in July........hopefully a revisit to Waldo Lake and actually make it around.

If we don't go to Bend, then probably a day or two at Haw Ridge in East TN when we visit my parents there.

I'm thinking of having an all day ride "party" with me and a few riding buddies for my birthday in mid-May.........maybe hit the Womble trail or something like that for the day, and do like an "expedition" type ride (6-10 hours).............

aside from the thread i started, i think i will definitely hit Diablo and Bromont this year, and head back to Jiminy Peak. if Highland actually comes to fruition, i'd probably pass on Attitash. the mt snow annual event will also hopefully take place.

i'd like to ride the kingdom trails too, but not so easy w/ the family. all the DH trips will likely be solo trips, but i will try to get a weekend @ jiminy as there is a good amount of stuff for the kids to do, and good mountainside lodging options too.

A spring trip hasn't been sorted yet, but prob will happen. possibly Moab again, or we may try another location in the sw (Sedona?)

Summer will be to trail ride the crap out the Maine spots and some around my parents place in NH.

DH: Attitash (season pass as usual)/Highlands/Jiminy/Bolton/Patty/Bromont/Whiteface/West/Diablo and I've never made it down to Snowshoe, see if I can do that this year.

Supposed to be really cool. You need to hookup the train ride through the chihuahuan desert though to get the most out of it.

Looks like I'll be taking a month or so to hike the Long Trail with a buddy of mine then maybe to some mtb'ing if I can get a new bike by then. Moab, Fruita/entire state of Colorado, Kingdom Trails...
