Well I have an airbrush kit, paint, and a spare D2 so I figured I would make a winter project of it and paint a helmet. Im having trouble coming up with designs but this is one that im digging, suggestions?
Overall I like it. I like the scallops you got going on, but honestly, I would loose that curly thing on the side of the visor, and the bottom of the face guard. It seems to break up the flow of the scalloping, and looks awkward. I would replace it with another scallop. I'm not bagging on it, just being honest. Everything else looks spot on, nice job. If it looks good when your done, I'll commission you to paint my spare D2.
Im def going to do some research and practice on my old 661 before I try this, just getting my feet wet, I still need an air compressor so once i get ahold of one I'll give you a ring.
if your doing red black, yur name wouldllok best in orang or yellow. then throw a bit of pinstriping in the same color to make stuff like the scallops pop

Bubba Smith... why are you bringing back all these old topics...
While we are on the subject, Dan, did you ever paint the helmet like you wanted too? Where did you get the airbrush kit from? How much was it?
