All of my trails were taken out by the hurricane so now the little fun I had here in Florida is gone. So until I move out west and buy a full DH rig I need to sell my baby. The bike is in mint condition only ridden DH 3 days the rest have been flatland florida.

Medium Demo 8 Frame with manitou shock
Marzocchi 66
Saint Cranks with Evil Guide
Saint Disc Brakes
Custom Built Atom Lab Rims with Saint Hubs
SRAMx9 shifter and xo rear der.
Race Face Seat Post
Race Face Diablous 31.8 Stem
Answer 31.8 2" Rise Bars
Hope Seat Clamp
WTB Seat
ODI Lock Grips
Maxxis SRY Minion DH F/R
King Headset

What should I ask for this bike? Its in mint condition and most parts are fairly new

How much do you have in it? If it is really that new, then just subtrack about 25% off of what you have in it or retail price and try to sell it for that. It is a nice bike and I am sure someone will want it.

I would say 2200 or so. Why not just get a DH fork and call it a day though? Other than that it looks ready to go and theres nothing wrong with the Demo 8 for dh.

A Demo 8 makes for a great DH race bike. Just keep it, instead of taking a hit on the sale, and take it with you out west. Then upgrade to a triple clamp fork. You won't be dissapointed. :)

i think that 2200 is pretty low actually. That's a sick bike, and a really good build...

Why not just keep that bike and switch out the fork to an 888 or something? What makes it not a full DH rig otherwise?

I'd keep it if you are able to. It's basically brand new. As other people said, I'd get a full on DH fork, too. I have a demo and I love it.

That thing is really sweet and will be a fine DH Bike, even better with a longer travel fork. If you can keep it, do it, because you will never get nearly what you put into it. But if you absolutely need to sell it, or you just want to, $2200 seems really low and someone should snap it up quickly. If you're not in a rush start by asking more - at least $3000, maybe more - and see what happens.

Just keep it. You have got 95% of the perfect DH, FR bike. Sell the front fork, and put a 888 on there.

However $2200 sounds low for that bike.

They seem to go for about $2500 with a single crown, and $2800 with a DC.

I was able to get a brand new Demo 9 pro for $2400 on a last season sale, so good luck getting $2700...

Yeah. $2200 sounds better, but still a little high. Like I said before, I think you should just keep it. If this isn't a DH bike than I don't know what is. Demos=beef.

I would just keep it and be happy. It will be hard recouping the costs like everyone said. I've sold 3 bikes on RM, and each time I had to take a big it. You sold your Fly, so I'm sure you are familiar with the issues. The D8 is a great bike, keep it and ride the snot out of it.

Well I know the demo 9 is a great bike...but it seems that the 8's retain value better and are more seeked out then the 9's. When I went to buy this I could get demo 9's all day everywhere and even cheaper. The 8 was more difficult and had a higher price

Well from the looks of the pictures it seems like this bike is in excellent shape. Also when everything on your bike was new you are looking at a hefty price. $2700 would be a fair price considering your build and quality of the ride. $2200-$2300 would be a good deal if you want to get rid of the bike fast. But, like the others on this thread have said that bike is awesome for DH. Just throw a new fork on it and you're good to go.

888 or high end Boxxer and you're good to go.
I just bought a lightly used Demo 9 (stock setup) for $2075+S+H. I would have rather had the Demo 8.

It might be worth it to swap out the fork even if you're selling it. I think most folks looking for that bike are expecting an 8" fork.
