Oh, and a quick question, what would be better an 03 junior t or an 03 super t? I am in the market for a new fork and cant decide which one would be better.

super or junior, look at the words carefully, grab a dictionary and see which word describes what you want.

Currently I have a sherman breakout plus 05. I can get a 170mm 66vf for about 350 so I need to know if it is better than my current fork.

no, the breakout has tpc+ dampening which is most definately superior to the ssvf dampening in the 66vf. don't listen to the haters. Stick with what you've got, its really quite a superb fork.

my girlfriend has a sherman flick plus and my buddy has the breakout plus and they both feel like crap compared to my van rlc 130 or my 888r. I would sell the breakout, save money and buy a 66 rcx2. I just picked up an 888 rcx2 and can't wait to hit the dh w/ it

on the contrary, i love my 2 shermans (05 flick plus, 03 firefly). Both r super sturdy and ride real smooth.
Sorry, I just don't find them as plush, smooth or reliable as marzocchi. Maintence on the manipoos are a real pain and need to be done more often then marzocchi forks

Well in an effort to get the thread back on track, I ordered a Vagrant early in January. I have a DirtBag and I figured that the Vagrant would go nicely with it.

Kyle expected them in on 1/27 and then they should be shipped out. Colors are Matte Black, Matte Brown or white - I chose Brown.

I also decided to build the bike completely new from the ground up. This is going to be my FR bike. Here are some parts:

06' Pike 626, DeeTrak Wheelset, Saint Cranks, El Camino brakes, Hussefelt stem and bars. Shoting for 30lbs...

Hi guys, this is Kyle from Transition. The Vagrant frames just arrived today so by THursday we'll start shipping our backlog. We'll have some pics up on our website by Thursday afternoon as well so make sure you check it out.

The colors are Matte Black, Matte White, Matte Brown. We should have pics of all these on our website tomorrow.

Sweet looking frame, I just got a big, burly hardtail in September and I love it. Works for everything from singletrack to SST drops to poaching parks and it doesn't crimp my back like a pure DJ/park bike.

Update - The frame was shipped out today! I spoke to Kevin by phone and chatted for a few minutes. He said that he was going out on the first ride tomorrow on his new one. They did a first run of 100 and shipped out alot of them today. Mine was luckily one of them.

He said the colors looked terrific and that they are doing a shoot this weekend to update the site. He said to check it out Monday or Tuesday.

Should have it late next week. Now I have to wait for the parts to come in so I can build it....This is what winter is all about. Ride while you can and build a bike when you can't ride!

Slapped with a salmon. That may be worth not posting at all....

Soon as I get the frame I will update with pics long the build-up process. Only bad thing is I will have to wait for the parts as I ordered a lot of stuff employee purchase and they usually ship that out lowest priority. I guess they figure they are not making as much money...

I know how that employee purchase gig works. I've been trying to get my hands on a 66rc2x for around a month and have yet to see the fruits of my efforts. Not to mention, one of my co-workers ordered a climbing helmet and it didn't show up for three months. I love the prices and all that, but sometimes you just don't want to wait. I just bought some tires at my LBS for that very reason.

if the 66 is 05 or older then it will be a tall fork and will slacken your geo. that's not always a bad thing, but mostly it is. if it's 06 then your good.
the only reason that the manitous yall have been feeling feel like poo is cause the owners dont service them. when it's properly serviced my 05 breakout plus is plusher then almost any zoke i've felt, certinly any new zoke. and it's also lighter. the catch is that properly serviced means oil change once every 6 months (4 if you ride a lot and wana keep it on top.) and new seals once a year. oil change took me literly 15 minites from puting the bike in the stand, to taking it down, and i had to take the fork off the bike. the harest part is finding where to put the old oil. (take it to your lbs if no where else.) zokies you don't have to touch for years.

Just out of curiosity, would my 05 Yeti ASX be too raked out with a shiver DC? I know the frame could handle it, but would it still ride OK?

Update due to bordom....

Everything will be in Friday except the fork. Too bad I need the fork to put on 70% of the stuff coming in....

Brakes, stem bars, levers, front wheel will have to wait.

That frame looks sick in the pics on Transistion's site, nice buy! Like I said, I love my heavy-assed overbuilt hardtail, to me it's the perfect XC bike!

Everything is in now except the fork and the new wheelset. Should be coming this week. Installed the cranks and headset cups and I have officially installed eveything I can until the fork shows up. I may have to use my 24" wheelset until the DeeTrax come in. Mavic takes a LONG time to ship Employee Purchase parts.

Ha Ha..The seat is not staying on. Actually the smaller Azonic seat (on the other bike in the background) is going on it. That is my extra seat for one of the bike bikes.

Thank god my fork is coming tomorrow. I got a good deal on a Brand New 36 Van RC2 but had to wait a while. Can't do anything without the fork...
