I had this problem once. I solved it by lifting her skirt, finding out that she was commando, and chewing on the bean for a while....on my desk.

Cupid in the Cubicle, Says New Vault Survey

58% Admit to Workplace Romance, Up from 46%
According to Vault's 2005 Office Romance Survey, 58% of employees say they have been involved in an office romance, up from 46% in Vault's survey two years ago.
Vault's 2005 Office Romance Survey, conducted in early January, is comprised of 610 responses from employees representing a variety of industries across the U.S.

The survey revealed some interesting statistics about the overlap between the work and love lives of employees. For example, while office romances are increasing, people are still wary about advertising them, as only 19% of participants opted to be completely open about their relationships. Some revealed their situations to a select few; 22.5% were open about it only with certain close friends.

Many couples try to hide their office romances with varying degrees of success -- 22.5% tried to hide their relationships, but a few people found out; 10% of people tried to hide their office romances but were discovered by almost everyone at the company. Still, 26% succeeded in hiding their relationships from everyone at their workplaces. One respondent stated, "We hid it initially, but were open about it with both colleagues and clients later. Eventually, everyone knew about it."

In response to questions about office dating habits, Vault's 2005 Office Romance Survey found that 14% of respondents have dated a boss or superior, while 19% have dated a subordinate.

Regarding trysts within office walls, 23% of respondents have indulged in them, with the office cited as the most common location, followed by the restroom and the conference room. Other places cited include the stairwell, elevator, the boss's office, a cubicle, the copy room, closet, and the lunchroom.

Not all office romances are of the short-term variety; 22% percent of respondents report having met their spouse or significant other on the job.

Office romances also seem to be more acceptable these days than in the past, as most respondents were either unaware of any company policy regarding workplace dating (44%), or replied that there is no policy governing office romances (39%). Of those who stated that a policy exists (17%), it usually involved managers not being permitted to date subordinates.

Most employees surveyed seemed to agree that office romances were not a big deal; for example, most respondents (59%), if acting in a management capacity, would only interfere with the relationship if work were being compromised. One respondent stated, "Office romances are fact of life. We are human beings, and we spend too much time in the office. In my view, the office is a great place for singles to meet other single people."

Respondents had plenty more to say regarding attitudes toward and experiences with office romance. One respondent said, "I see nothing wrong with office romance as long as it doesn't decrease anyone's job performance. In fact, I believe that strong relationships can be formed between people who work in the same office or company as they would have more in common. It may even increase their performance on the job as they would be happier," while another stated the old adage, "Never mix business with pleasure." Overall the consensus seemed to lean toward the following sentiment expressed by one respondent, "As long as the romance does not affect the work environment in a negative manner, then it should be allowed to continue."

Open attitudes toward workplace dating are important, as there seems to be a great deal of it taking place. When survey respondents were asked if there was currently an office romance happening between two co-workers at their companies, the majority, 43%, said yes; 38% said they did not know whether an office romance was taking place, and 19% said there was no workplace dating at their companies. With 22% of respondents stating that their office romances ended up in marriage or significant long-term relationships, the office is certainly a viable place to meet potential mates. One respondent who would certainly agree stated, "I met the love of my life because of an office romance!"

On behalf of all Aussies/Kiwis I'd like to apologise to the world for ugg boots. We're truly sorry.
Thank you. Now can you make them go away? The ones that look like giant, floppy retarded knee high slippers can go first.

I have never seen a boot so badly constructed that it looks like a leg warmer, all crumpled up around someone's foot.

The irony is, to most Australians they are, or at least were, the epitome of un-cool, white trash footwear.
I'd also like to apologise for Savage Garden too. That was just mean doing that to you blokes.

I can deal with savage garden once a year on MTV much more then I can deal with idiots wearing furry winter boots out when its 90 degrees.

They seem especially popular with skanks wearing juicy sweatsuits here. You know...the ones with huge whorey sunglasses who talk annoyingly loud on their cellphone and swear like truck drivers.

They tend to swarm around guys who pretend to be straight outta Growin up Gotti, only they drive riced out 1994 civic hatchbacks with do it yourself tint kits.

anyone who wears Uggs ..... are trend whores.
They have no sense of style.... and can't make a decision for their self.

If the dude who started this thread gets with the co-worker with the friggin Ugg boots, I'll get on a plane and slap him myself.

It's not even about the co-worker thing.... it's all about the Ugg boots. If you reproduce with someone who wears Uggs, there may be a chance that the offspring will like Uggs.
