yea i know that, but i want to find the most direct way down, i know i can do a 20 foot drop, but i havent tryed anything larger, i was thinking about riding the far left, it seems less steep.

The picture could be screwing with my perspective but it seems as though the right side cutting diagonally towards the left is less steep than that of the left side. Am I wrong?

Only issue with it is that is a straight run... if that even is an issue? You just dont have many options to slow down besides skidding on your breaks. Do it n video tape! (I wanna see the gorey video :) )

Okay, Have fun. What cha gonna do about the snow?

"So every spring, the march begins as skiers, snowboarders and the curious make the three-hour, three mile climb to the snow-choked Bowl. From late March to May, and sometimes into early June, the Tuckerman Ravine Trail is like an anthill with board-carrying thrill-seekers making the pilgrimage."

Tuckerman's is crazy steep! At the base lodge just read the list of all the people that have died skiing it! If you can pull off a ride down it I'd be seriously impressed. What you need to do is make sure you get some video of your attempt.
Good luck, you're gonna need it!

I have some buddies Who hiked up the Cog railway trail with there bikes , with the intent of riding down tuckermans. ( these Guys have Big Balls too, and all had skiied it ) they got to the top of the bowl , and non of them could pull the trigger, said it was just stupid steep. so they road down the auto road and almost got arrested for that. ( got off with tresspessing tickets )

Do us and yourself a favor and don't do it. Some things just aren't made to be. By the way, the picture you posted wasn't Tuckerman Ravine but instead Hillman's Highway.

If you do go and do it, let me know. I'll make it a podcast episode. Check out the pilot for this new podcast. The link is in my signature.

One more thing, ever seen Tuckerman Racine without snow? It is basically about a million huge boulders stacked up on each other, kind of like the lunch rocks.

Im good friends with greg, he is going to do it this summer but he needs to talk to the conservation officer. He also needs to get health insurance. :)

I highly doubt he will do it this summer... BTW the Mountain Rangers or whatever you want to call them * most likely won't stop you. It is WMNF land.

On another note, run the idea by the guys at www.timefortuckerman.com/forums They know almost everything there is to know about Tux...

Yes i know but the Conservation officer will be the one that reports you and gives you a ticket, I have gotten one before from an officer.

Yes, he is doing it this summer if Tuckermans drys up.

Alright have the camera crews ready... just trying to say, if anyone was going to do this, it would be someone like Darren Barecloth... It is literally a series of drops.
