You really wouldn't want to do that, you'd be up WAY past your bedtime.

Damn that is a great name!

I didn't notice anyone saying anything about Chimaira in this thread either. Their new self titled cd is pretty good.

Sepultura Arise is one of my favorite metal covers of all time... well except for Brujeria, but those arent fit for posting on the monkey..

Opeth has really good art as well. Intricate logo, but clean logos. Like H8R noted, sometimes the biggest joke in metal band art is the unreadable name....

Im listening to a band called Krisiun.... not sure where i got the tracks. They are pretty rocking.

I need Children of Bodem... hear the name all the time, but never pick up.

Some other things in the metal vein I have on my play list:
Trivium
OPETH
Watch Them Die
Pig Destroyer
Morbid Angel
Old Mans Child
Meshuggah
Morpheus Decends
Nevermore
Sanctuary
My dying bride
Dillenger Escape Plan
The sword
Testament
mastodon

the list could go on....

Good ones Oly!! I was suprised that no one had mentioned opeth, Pig Destroyer, or DEP yet.
Thrillkil,
If you are looking for good stuff, you can always check out Relapse Records...they usually have some up-and-comers that havent hit the scene too hard. Check out Akimbo if you get a chance..pretty good metal trio.

As I was getting new ink done last night, they were playing a band called "The Sword" - I really liked it, a lot. It was good. Kind of a funky 70's logo on them as well, seems a lot of the new stoner-friendly heavy metal is going this way...

You can check some of their tunes out on mySpace apparently: http://www.myspace.com/thesword and I have been warned: there's a also a band called just "Sword" that isn't any good. You have to get "THE Sword". That is all.

At a computer...duh
Old: Sabbath/Ozzy, Pantera, Slayer, Megadeth/Metallica, Iron Miaden, Guns'N'Roses, AC/DC

New ones that don't suck (rare): Newer Disturbed, Godsmack, Sevendust, Avenged Sevenfold, Mudvayne (I actually thought that website was pretty cool), In Flames, Killswitch Engage, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY (DO NOT MISS THIS ONE), Tool (sorta), Iced Earth, Fear Factory (some), Soil

And of course Rammstein is useful for comic relief. If you bother to listen to some of their newer stuff there are definetely some competent musicians at work, but take my word for it, their lyrics are best left untranslated and in German.

The Sword rocks. Funny there on the Mysapace bandwagon too. I just foundout last night that Opeth also has a Myspace page.... Buckethead as well... Seems like a good place for free advertizing....

Why does everyone hate Metallica??? They used to rock???
Unfortunately it started when they took on Napster the greedy f'ers. and then followed it up with a couple of crappy efforts and a compolation (sp?) with covers on it.
