The common problem with that is that you are riding a bmx cruiser, i mean that is what it boils down to, i dont just dj with the bike, i use it for drops to trannys and stuff, i want to start tricking off some of the smaller drops, so i need to start thinking about a set up like this.
I dont see the point of a singlespeed with no gears, unless you are riding ONLY park...its just a bmx bike...But that is a whole other argument...
its a ht slalom frame (horiz dropouts) that i use for park, street, and jumping. definitely NOT a bmx cruiser. i switched it to SS because i got tired of smashing deraillers on ledges, walls, etc. plus with that part of the drivetrain gone, the bike is easier to whip around.
cool i just ordered a couple lengths of both red and black, my bike has stupid amounts of black so i might go with the red on this one so i look like jamie ...
I about 100 % sure this is what those guys are running, thanks for all your help...I'll post pics once the bike is set up.

Well, if you read the ABA rules. Any bike with wheels 24" or larger is a cruiser.
What it comes down to is you have to have a certain number (I dunno how many) of the unique features that make an mtb an mtb to have it be an mtb.
But I've put a suspension fork on my cruiser and ridden it in a 10 mile XC poker run.:hot: So did that make it a mountainbike? Probably not because I think I left my peg on the back...
It's gay to "classify" a bike. I understand manhattanprjkt is saying he want more of a traditional mountain bike but we don't have to get into a fight of cuiser vs. mountain bikes.
