I can't wait to go next weekend and wait in line checking out the hot chicks who are checking out rockstar bikers. thank god they don't allow racer type dhers anymore or else id be nobody among the hunnies.

Now I'm gong to have to go, and drop key words like "My sponsor", "big huck" and "hardcore gnar" while I'm in line..... If you're going to be up there jockeying for the chicks though, I probably should keep my hardcore poser pickup lines to myself huh? Maybe if I wear lots of armor.... hmmm..

payer advice to another, don't pull the freecore pitches bec chicks are now well educated that they know fo shore that freeriders and huckers don't shower as much as racer types go. i'd be like, "Oh yeah, i'm aight. im training for the next round of racing this weekend. it's not a big deal it just a qualifying race for like the nationals." like really subtle but serious so they can't tell the bs wafing from underneath the nose. hucking and freeriding is dead and chicks don't dig that sh*t anymore. you have to be clean looking and smells of non-musk after shave colone. don't wear black and jeans too, that's so freecore and passe.

I was up there on Sat, not to ride, but we did take the lift up. There were actually a far amount of people up there riding. I saw some bike that didn't meet the specs exactly, but it's up to the lift guys to screen the bikes and I don't think they really care much, as long as it looks close they'll load it.

thats youre problem, your jaded to think that dh bikes needs to have the blings and whistles magazines made you to think should be. I have a single speed HT for downhilling and it's a downhill bike to me so i guess i am my own loophole. say hi when you see ripping down summit on all the weekends you go up there on.
I left the training wheels on my hardtail when I realized I could go faster with the blings and whistles the magazines made me think I needed.

I'm not sure what open and legal trails would warrant shin guards and a full face.
Fallline if you halled it, especially on a limted travel bike. I wore my shin guards when we used fern for Super-D just to take the rock kickup hits.

Do you think they would let this up (with f/f helmet and shin guards)?:

It's about 35lbs, 8 gears
I really doubt they wouldn't load it. I spent all Saturday and Sunday riding SS with my Kona Coiler, a full face helmet and shin guards without any problems. Besides me, there were about half a dozen riders with FF helmets and just about everyone’s bike violated at least one of the specs. Just pull the helmet off before you get on the lifts and treat them with respect and no one will hassle you.

BTW, the trails are in pretty horrible condition. Towne trail was trashed and Upper Fallline was pretty torn up.

If I were you I wouldn't drive 3 hours to bring your illegal bike hoping they'll let you ride the XC trails.

what are the classifications for "DH" bikes
DH bike checklist for snow summit employees.
Do not, under any circumstances load the following:

1. Kona with big forged rocker plates
2. Norco full suspension for ambigous rear wheel travel claims
2. Bikes with 67 degree head angle or less, or substandard xc fork rake
3. Caliper size of tires not to exceed 2.35" measured from side knob to side knob.
4. Air pressures lower than 20 psi
5. Any bikes without measuring single crown forks travel limits
6. Bike with disc rotor size bigger than 6" FRONT and back

automatic exemption: bikes with vee brakes, flat bars, steep angle hardtails, women 18-24 yr old range on ANY bike.

You dumb ass.... Snow Summit is NOT running DH bikes. I just got off the phone with SS. All the bull**** restrictions are still in place. You can take your sissy bike though...
