bush.jpg Wired-Up Bush Caught Using 'S' Word
President George Bush has been heard using foul language while talking to Tony Blair about the conflict in the Middle East.
Mr Bush failed to realise his remarks were being picked up by a microphone at a summit of world leaders.

He bluntly expressed his frustration with the actions of Hizbollah guerrillas in Lebanon.

"See, the irony is, what they really need to do is to get Syria to get Hizbollah to stop doing this s**t," Mr Bush told Mr Blair in a discussion before a G8 summit lunch.

Mr Bush's remarks were recorded by the summit's closed-circuit television, which was filming the leaders sitting down to eat.

Normally, the images are transmitted with sound that does not allow reporters to pick out individual comments.

But in this case, a microphone clearly recorded the expletive.

The Prime Minister, whose remarks were not as distinct, appeared to be pressing Mr Bush about the importance of getting international peacekeepers into the region.

You know what I think is embarassing?

I think it's embarassing that major news reporting agencies thought this was newsworthy. Bush says a swear and they all go, "OH EM GEE! BUSH CURSED! TEE HEE HEE!" and run off and say it's major news.

I think that's about as re-goddamn-diculous as it gets. Every one of those guys curses behind closed doors and the minute someone leaves a mic on, it's world news.

Perhaps Bush's approval ratings would go up if he started to publicly MF people. Perhaps he should have Samuel L Jackson write his speeches, or just give them.

right on.

what i find rediculous. is how many people blindly believe everything the press tells them.
people form 100% of their political opinions on what the talking heads tell them.

I think you are completely off here BV. YOU MISSED TH WHOLE POINT... The thing is, this should be reported, and also G "W" should be shown writing out the check for $350,000 out of HIS checkbook for cursing... This "President" and his rightwing, conservative, religious cronies have pushed the "MORALITY" ticket about as far as they can push it! I know that if a radio or TV personality slipped up and didn't know their mic was on, said the same word and the presidents little puppets in the FCC were listening, they would be subject to a $350,000 fine!

hell yeah I think it should be reported, and brought to light that Mr. Clean isn't as clean as he wants to be portrayed. You have probably all seen the footage of GW as gov. of Texas flipping the bird and smirking to the cameras as he got ready for an interview!!! Yep its ridiculous for the media to report a newsworthy story…

I didn't think cursing should be front page news either, but actually in light of all the morality mandates and FCC crap, this is pretty funny. If GW is going shove his beliefs down our throats, he better walk the straight and narrow and adhere to those beliefs as well.

Ya I did actually read the post, and you are ranting about how he's a hypocrite and should stand up to his own moral preachings. Yes its hypocritical but seriously get over it, in the grand scheme of things, especially considering the current world situation, why don't you worry about something worth worrying about?? As I said I hate Bush, but no one is going to be frigging Perfect Patty all the time, get over yourself. And what does this have to do with the FCC? It was an untelevised event, and the conversation was released to the public by some member of the media out to shoot down Bush.

Brace yourself...... I am capable of worrying about several things SIMULTANEOUSLY. Some call me a genetic freak, but I like to think of myself in more humble terms.

you are correct no one can be "Perfect Patty" (who ever said Bush was?) but GW always uses his high and mighty "moral right" to help him out of situations, shouldn't he be held to the same standards as those he holds to high standards via his FCC?

LET ME BRAKE THIS DOWN FOR YOU......
Public figure A on the radio.... cuts to a brake, and as the commercial plays doesn't realize the mic is still on, and slips the "S" word in conversation (which he/she though was off the air)...(in my oppinion kinda funny) FCC? nope they dont find it funny they fine you $350,000

Public figure B in a summit of world leaders... doesn't realize that a mic is there and turned on, lets out the "S" word (which I again find kinda funny) but to not be held to the same "high moral standards" that (public figure B and his puppet for the right known as) the "FCC" established, doesn't add up!:teacher: :nope:

PS... for your info, if you are the leader of a country, and in attendance of a summit with other world leaders, you can bet your bottom buck that there is someone recording it... "it aint rock science" I mean you are a PUBLIC FIGURE!

and yes it is a word all of us use probably a lot more than we should.

agreed... YOU MAKE MY POINT THAT MUCH MORE IMPORTANT! again if he is waging war here in the US on moral issues (as he has repeatedly throughout his presidency, a tactic in my opinion he uses when the proverbial SH!T hits the fan where ever else he is waging war) he better be Mr. Morality himself, at least when on camera. It is his best diversionary tactic yet!

How about the content of his discussion with Blair? I felt sorry for Tony, that was like listening to Howard Stern trying to have a serious political discussion with Wendy the Retard.

I agree that it's hypocritical.

My point was that I logged onto CNN.com yesterday morning and this particular issue appeared no less than three times on the front page. Once as the FIRST ITEM ON THE PAGE, and in BIG BOLD PRINT. Once as a link to a video. And once again in a list of "most viewed videos".

Now, in light of everything that is going on in the world at this moment, was that really the most pressing issue that the world public needed to know about? Maybe it deserves a foot note somewhere, or to be stuck in the "funny news" category, but the very first item on the very first page of one of the biggest news agencies in the world? Come on, guys. Let's gain a little perspective here.

I cannot basically disagree with this. I would say the standards of 'freedom' and 'democracy' are being (ab)used more, but yes, you cannot fight for something you do not practice and expect to have credibility or sucess in this arena.

OK I see your point, and thank you for clarifying! but if it is in a link of "Most Viewed Videos" I guess it isn't just CNN that thought it was important to check out, I think it may have been a larger entity know as the "General Public" (and how else to get more traffic and intern money from your advertising dollars than to sell what the general public is buying)

I can see your point about questioning its worthiness of being front page material, but I still disagree and think (and maybe I am looking toooo deep here) that his descision making capabilities are not that great, and his choice to carry on such a stupid conversation in a public place really showcases that! will Jonh Q Public ever look at this incedent and come up with that conclusion? Probably not. But it is the small things (to me) that really add up to give you a clear picture of the person.

I know who put the video there, but realistically, had the video been placed more appropriately, it would likely not have been ranked #1... or maybe it would have been, but even at that, it would have been the first occurance of it on the page, not the third.

I just feel that CNN's front page should be serving a more important purpose than calling out hipocracy for curse words.

I am not sure about where they put what..., and what they value, I usually don't get my info via them anyway...:D
