the nice thing about bender is that any time u wana watch some one eat it hard u just have to watch any of his footage, in my opinion style is the most important part of freeriding and he has none, if u consider hucking some meat off a cliff pushing the sport forward then i dont no what to tell u guys other than theres way better riders who pull way gnarlier $h!T with exelent style, ever herd of vanderham, simmons, berrecloth, gracia, or strait. now those guys have done something for the sport. if bender can stomp it (which he cant)then they can most likey pull some kind of no hander or 360 off it, but bender cant stomp it and they can so exactly how do u guys consider him some sort of freeride god when everybodys better then him and his bike has a better chance of landing without him.

He was freeriding before there was such a thing as freeride. The exposure he gained mountainbiking was tremendous and it is of NO consequence that he cannot still compete at the highest level of mountainbiking anymore. He did his part for mountainbiking a long time ago. He is still way better than you can ever hope to be, so I hope you like being subpar to someone you think has no style.glivingston5 said:

i think all the weenies on this thread that say "style this, style that" are nothing more than posers saying what they think is the new "cool" thing to say that they heard on some video or website. you guys are the cool clique from highschool who graduated and realized all your surfacy friends werent your friends at all

Since you've never ridden with Bender and you never will since he would never waste his riding time with a no talent sh!t talking grom like you, you will never realize this... but he could ride circles around you. i agree with greenhood. and i understand that bender has been riding a long time. but what i was trying to get across in the first place is that he is given to much credit in comparison to to riders like vanderham, simmons, berrecloth, gracia, or strait. and im not compairing myself to him, im compairing him to the pro riders which he should be compaired to. im not saying in any way that i have the kind of balls that he has. but simmons alone is 5 times the freerider that bender ever was.

i agree his day is long passed(and was very shortlived), btw there is no way bender is a more acomplished rider then simmons. has bender ever even placed in anything. simmons has been around since the begining to and he is still killing it cause hes a well rounded progressive rider who is capable of competing with the old and new
Bender is a rider, just like all of us, I respect every rider, no matter what type of riding they do, its mountain biking, when I hit a trail or resort, I dont see people talking ****, I see people supporting others, pushing them, haters just dont make sense, if your going to hate a rider, hate that dude that got Big Bear closed for downhill for good
