i think i hadnt teased you northern hemisphere guys with the view from my rooftop these couple last years

well here it is, the andes are beautifully snowcapped these days after HEAVY snowfall, terrain is moist and tacky for riding, all round great stuff, im going boarding tomorrow cant wait (was so pissed when i woke up yesterday knowing its was THE powder day and i had a meeting at 3pm that made it impossible to sneak in a mid week powderfest)

so if any of you are planning summer ski trips, this is the moment, and feel free to stop by 33°27'24.16"S/ 70°34'8.59"W if youre in the neighbourhood

dont really think average snowfall means anything anymore after we have completely messed up the planet and climate, but normally there is more than enough snow for 3 months worth of ski season, sometimes a lot more like last year when people were long gone from the slopes (beach is more coolness points with the snob skier population once the calendar says october) before the snow started to melt.

yea its nice in this part of town, bout 20 minutes uphill to get away from the city and into the mountains not more.

what i want to do however is to find some way to buy a piece of land from a friends dad who has a couple of hills here

I've been trying to work out a surf/ski/bike (at least 2 of the 3) trip to Chile for a while but it hasn't worked out yet. I met a guy from Santiago while in Costa Rica a few years ago and he really talked up the place. That picture just made me jealous.

The best part is that there are dry foothills to still ride your bike around eh?

you got it

im at 620m and the snow you see there starts at 2000m, that first line of hills is at around 1100m and it takes me exactly one hour to get to the top of the first ones (not easy to spot on the pic) from my house, but theres plenty of hills to go around, trail access isnt always so good but if you are proficient in trail lore there will always be somewhere good to ride not far away.
