your such a bully transcend. i don't know you guys are probably right. it seems that the days of just trusting someone not to dope are over. i wonder what this will mean for the next year racers? it just seems ridiculous that this is their livelihood and the racers would just take such a risk like this ya know. gah this sucks. its like there is a war between the racers and the officiators.

Yeah, those pansies only do more than a century every day for 20 days in a row at a pace that would make a fit recreational cyclist throw up after the first mile.

Girlie men, all of them...

I would love to see what the results from the other tests were.

From what I understand, it wasn't that his testostrone was so high as much as it was what ever they measure it against was low... the only thing I can't figure is the reports that claim it was synthetic.

I find it odd that Floyd had a total of 8 tests done during the TdF and only this one was positive....
Miraculously, it was the one from the day he decimated the field. It was also the day after he sucked and was off the back.

I'm no doctor, but I'm guessing ingestion of a huge dose of testosterone (11:1 vs 4:1) would have some immediate effects. It's a widely known practice in the track and field world for sprinters who like to cheat as well.

edit: It was synthetic, proving his body did not manufacture it. It was also almost 3 times the allowed, and natural, limit.

Ya, I agree. I mean a few thousand kilometers, a few thousand feet in elevation and a huge effort everyday for 21 days is so damn easy if you hit the gym a bit and eat lotsa salad.

i dunno, i mean, today the B sample was declared dirty, but that was totally to be expected, it doesnt change much, the only thing that was ruled out today was the freak possibility of the lab having mis-tested the A sample.
the guys defense is based on his argument that it is his body that produces that level of testosterone (btw i never did see official information saying the 11:1 ratio was more product of the epitestosterone being low v/s testosterone being at a high absolute level) and that would also of course imply an eventual B or Z sample would be equally dirty.
anyhow, i think they probably all dope, and i hope the day that fact becomes acknowledged is near.

So who gets the tour title now? They are likely going to have to test, (and then disqualify) all the way down to like 24th place.......
I wonder if they will test anyone else?

Most pro athletes use some sort of illegal performance enhancing drug. I said most... Nice pics of Reggie Bush----BTW.

I have a buddy that is a professional body builder. They always say they test body builders but he said he has only been tested a few times in 100s of comps. He admits to using. He said everyone uses. He was top 5 in Vegas last year and was never tested. He also trains at a HUGE gym in Vegas and said you would be surprised at who is shooting up in the bathroom. He has seen some big name boxxers, football players, and baseball players. Its a fact at the level these guys perform. Look at the athlete of years ago and compare him/her to the athlete of today. hmmmmmmmm

I hope they make a final decision soon.

I think people who use 'roids have the mentality that "everyone does it" and that's how they justify it to themselves, when in reality, very few pro athletes probably dope. I dont doubt that bodybuilding is full of steroids, like pro wrestling, but pro football and baseball players who use are few and far between. Trainers for the teams, all of whom have reputations and FAR TOO MUCH MONEY at stake, decide exactly what goes into the bodies of their athletes. Idiots like Bill Romanowski are loathed univerally for what they've done.
If you look at the body types of the NFL's elite, they arent really the kind of people you would think are using steroids anyway. Shaun Alexander, Peyton Manning, Carson Palmer, Tom Brady...these guys dont exactly have huge veins bugling out their bodies and 84-inch biceps. T.O. and Reggie Bush? Yeah, maybe...

specially true of competitive body builders. i wonder why people have doubts about it. seen ronnie coleman? markus ruhl? those dudes are massive (in my pov thats astounding to watch), but no way that is natural.
the upper limit for a natural bodybuilder, as i´ve been reading from several places it at 15-25 extra lbs of muscle, after many years and strict diets and good genetics.
not a single one of them is clean. be it stereoids, growth hormone, synthol, testosterone or a combo of many.

the bugling veins, vascularity, come from low body fat % and genetics.
not always a lack of them means being clean.
paper-thin skin (where all the skin looks like it it was eyelids and you can see the fibres of the muscle thru) usually comes from substance abuse... but can also come from diet, like no sodium and little water days before competition, and loading carbs and pumping right before the show, but thats a temporary condition.

plus, elite atletes have all the money to pay for doctors, regular monitoring and all the time and money for mascarading techniques. its not like a high school idiot shooting up mexican ´roids.

and reggie bush´ arms (triceps head) look kinda odd. as if they lacked some symmetry or something...

I havent mentioned NASCAR. But dont let your lack of insight stop you from forming opinions or anything. You know nothing of the testing standards or the progression of the game, and the level at which its played. Likely because of a lack of athletic ability that stopped you from playing. Like most losers I mean...

Burley , you have got to be kidding me. Pro football! Come on they are probably the most loaded up players going ! Yeah maybe the QB's are clean , but the Offensive and Deffensive lines ! lets be real the Bigger the better is how it goes with those guys. 20 years ago , when william perry came into the league at 300+ pounds he was an oddity , now I don't think there is a team that doesn't have 300+ line men. the problem is most of these guys are kids( 16-20 ) when they have to make these decisions, and there line of thinking is one thing ( OK maybe 2 if you count female anatomy ) How do I get better at Football. Cause if I don't the next guy is going to do it and take my place. and they see ther ecompetition shooting up to get bigger , guess what they are going to do. and it is a whole mentality that starts before they get to the NFL , heck it probaly starts before they even get to college.

Remember the congressional hearings on steroids over the last two years? MLB and NBA were reamed...but the NFL wasnt even invited, as their substance abuse policy and testing standards are above and beyond even what congress is requiring the other leagues to do.
Human beings in general have been getting larger for a while now, the size of athletes IMO, has more to do with advances in medicine and training than in steroid use. It's not like athletes in EVERY sport havent gotten bigger, stronger and faster either. Like I said, the trainers on these teams know EVERYTHING going into these guys' bodies because unlike other sports, when NFL players report to camp, they are in a controlled environment. So unless you're suggesting there's some grand conspiracy where teams are sponsoring steroid use, it just isnt likely. Now, some players have been popped, and the NFL has some pretty extreme standards of punishing people for using. It's just not the issue people want it to be.

the NFL is pretty good at picking up pot or coke usage, but steroids??? nada. they turn the proverbial blind eye.

its not only steroid use.
you have HGH too, and many other stuff a good team of doctors can supply, monitor and keep under the radar.

why do you have it hard to believe teams would sponsor stuff like that?
