i finally built her up yesterday. went on a "shake-down" easy ride along lake michigan before hitting up my local trails. i started out riding a steel bontrager, then rode only FS for a number of years, and now back to this steel hardtail. very lively feel, tho a tad on the heavier side. build as pictured is 30lbs. was debating between the inbred, chameleon, and the commencal absolut hardtail frame as a do-it-all, but "mountaincross-centric" bike. since the commencal absolut frameset is soldout until interbike...i chose the inbred. altho, i have a feeling that i'll probably switch out to the commencal when it becomes available.
