Close the shop at 4:30, you'll have plenty of time. Or leave the foul mouthed little ones in charge even!

Are men allowed? My wife wants to go and I am starting to get jealous...
The ride is for women, but the Beaver husbands and guy friends will likely be riding in a seperate group that night, so feel free to come. Anything to get some more ladies to ride!

Motor? as in shuttle, or pedal real fast:confused: The climb to the top is about 3/4 mile. Very climbable:)

FYI: There's been some activity up there with the roads and several trees are marked. Nothing too obtrusive yet. but, looks like there may be some tree thinning in the future. So, don't be too surprised. wish I could join you all. (to ride with the guys...) Kid's soccer practice night...

Loose and dusty in places and some droopy tree branches due to the dry weather. So, wear eye protection and also remember it's getting darker earlier now. Especially in the woods.

Hey there J - We will be pedaling up the hill and stopping to regroup as needed. There will be a variety of skill levels and we may break into two groups if need be.

We can also arrange for a demo bike or two if anyone needs one.

Would love to see you both out there!

Tolt is really owned by Port Blakely. The Snoqualmie Tree Farm is the Tokuls and Griffin Creek areas. Still, all closed for fire danger.

Check with Pilchuck before you guys go. The number is in the book under "Pilchuck Tree Farm. You'll probbaly get Barb on the phone. But, she definately knows the drill. Unless we get some rain the next 2 days (let's hope!) they may pull the plug temporarily as well.
Hope not as I'm doing a fat 20 miler of all the goods on Saturday.

Think rain. Not a lot, but just enough...

Can we move this to another place please read http://www.bbtc.org/php/show_page.php?page_id=82
Hi all,

The Port Blakley website specifically omits their property in King Co., this is the message:

Extreme Fire Danger Causes Land Closure
Tumwater, WA - July 25, 2006

Until further notice ALL PORT BLAKELY TREE FARMS timberlands are closed to ALL public access due to extreme fire danger.

This closure applies to foot, horse, motorized and any other form of access. All Washington Port Blakely lands in Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, Snohomish and Thurston counties and all Oregon Port Blakely lands in Clackmas county are included.

The closure will remain in effect until further notice by Port Blakely Tree Farms.

However, I will call and check out the trails tomorrow night to verify.

Loophole. Yes. But, if you dig into it further like Justin (Juice on RM) has, they mean King Co property as well...

There's no reason for them to leave that tinderbox open while traditionally wetter places are shown as closed.

Also worth noting is that posting was from a month ago and we have not had any measureable precip since then. (Not trying at all to rain on your parade. Though some rain may be nice about now...)

EvilB, looking forward to it.

Thanks for everyone who came out tonight, despite the trail change. We had a great turn out and enjoyed everyone's company. Just email us if you want to ride on an un-organized ride, per say :) We will have a couple more organized rides through the winter too.
