Nice ride Dave Beeson!!!!!!
He does not ride for Go-Ride but he hangs out here and we tune his **** when he needs it. SLC!!!

I think he got 3rd semi pro in Brianhead and has had some good natl finishes, he's a BMX/4xer.

I thought his name was Doug Beeson..........was he the Manager for GT Hyundai last year.....?

Rode with him last year at Snowshoe, we did like 10 runs in 90 minutes.......super positive guy.....great rider too.

Dave actually stuffed his foot through his front wheel taking out 6 spokes in the next to last straight away. We were watching him come in and wondering why he sat down and looked like he was resting. He power wheelied around the final corner because because the bent wheel woudn't hold traction in the turn.

That was some tight racing there.

You guys can blame that one on dumb me - - I saw red white and blue and a white helmet coming thru the trees and pulled the trigger on the remaining 5 seconds of room left on Alex's cam . . . wrong rider. Aauuggghhh!

What else do you expect from a point of wiew in a country where thy get as much precipitation as seattle? Did you really think that they would like the dust? That course ruled, you actually had to be a MAN and ride. Can you imagine how bad they would of bitched if the ground had been hard pack? The dust kept the speed in check.
I'll stop ranting.... Just remember you cant make everyone happy.

just checking. It was the first thing I'd seen saying it sucked. besides, I figured if you had wasted a trip to Canuckada for a crappy course, I'd have had a phone call by now.

Oh yeah, and Sugar in '07 biotch...or I'll have my little one poop in a box and mail it to ya...

That's not what I heard. Multiple Canadian and American racers (including Alex Morgan on Rm (BCD)) had all stated that the course absoutely sucked.

the dirt was so variable that every lap was diferent. Just really challenging. If you wanted to win you really had to hang it out.

at first i was not impressed with the top straights sections. but got used to them.
if they were HardPack, you would have been going 40mph in the trees, that would be
dangerous, seriously not safe, like makes the kami in mammoth looks like a sidewalk.

when that trail turns into HP, it will be hell to ride.
it will be a 10' wide 1/4 mile of steep break bumps.
not fun to ride IMO.

second problem with the track was there was no rock/root sections
they could have had a good wooded section with a little mud.
don't use bridges in race tracks unless they have to be there to go ove XC tracks.
the new trails had too much natural obsticles removed.

third problem were only two flat corners on THE WHOLE TRACK.
It takes skill to corner on flat offcambers, every corner had a 3' berm?

i'll stop there, that is what i saw most everything else Si covered.

last years track was way better for those where were there.

Yeah the course was a ton of fun. Some people just bitch too much.

edit: damn finished reading it. The dude sounds like a whiney little bitch. too funny.
Sounds like a fair and even handed description of the event to me. Si is a very well respected racer from a country that has bred the 2 current World Cup champs, he's also just been put in charge of running the National series over here. If he says the track was below par, it was.

It's a very expensive 3000 mile trip out there and they had a whole mountain to play with, no wonder he was disappointed, there’s no excuse for a bad track.
