Anyone know of a HT out there that has a relatively slack head angle?

I'm looking for a simple HT for winter riding - I want to run a 5" fork and have a 68 or 67 head angle.

I also want a seat angle close to 73 for pedaling efficiency.

Any suggestions?

Hmmm, that's a slack ht angle for any XC type hardtail IMO.

But there's gotta be some heavy FR hardtail that fits that bill.

What about something from Cove? What about something from Iron Horse?

Really? SC site lists it at 69.7 with a 500mm A-C (a 130mm Z1 has an A-C of 518mm)
Don't look at me. This was from the Aug 2006 MBUK issue. Actually, they reviewed 3 other hardtails, so I would take a look...

Acadian, come and check out my Sovereign...it's not complete right now, but it might be what you're looking for. I'm in Walnut Creek...

Nicolai HTs are really slack, too, but they're not particularly suited for XC riding. (I have a Large BMXtb frame sitting around...love the bike...not good for long rides, though, as much as I wanted it to be. Probably the most fun-descending bike I've ever had.)

Maybe a Kona? I'm not sure on the numbers, but I know for an XC bike they are slack. If you want to run a 5" fork though, you should look into trail/freeride hardtails. I haven't seen a good XC rig that runs over a 4" fork

The website is still a piece of ****. The bike pictured on the ridge page is in no way similar to the actual product, it is the proto from Interbike '04, the only similarity to the current bike is the dropouts. There are 2 variants of the Ridge that are currently available, the Ridge (designed around a 5-6" fork) and the ridge st (designed around a 4-5" fork).

Hopefully a new site will get launched after interbike, I have been working on copy and specs for it for a few months now, but who knows...
