148th in crappy food land Shoreline. God, I miss the days of getting a bite at Elliot Bay Brewery, or some rich ice cream from Huskey Deli:rant:
Sorry...had coconut ice cream there last night! A friend used to work there and her family are friends of the owner. Met him last week too, really nice guy.

The Mecca in Queen Anne has a pretty mean and reasonable breakfast. And oddly enough...it is up the street from Dick's and across the street from the Phuket!!!

And Flowers in the U-District has a great vegeterian buffet (I like it and I am not even vegeterian) on Sunday. Maybe more days of the week, but I have only been there on Sunday.

Yes, it's a great veggie lunch buffet! Unless they've changed things they offer it during the week as well. I used to hit it up at least once a week when I was in grad school. Other regular stops in the U-District lunch rotation would include Than Bros., that Himalayan place across the street from Than Bros., Nasai Teriyaki, Ruby, Big Time, Orizuru, and Agua Verde.

Teriyaki: best chicken teriyaki in Known Space is at Yummy Teriyaki on Edmonds way, and the steak teriyaki gold medal winner is the Toshi's on Lake Ballinger Way right off the exit. For Vegitarian fare I like Araya in the UD for killer Thai, and Teapot on the hill (if it's still there) for pricey pan-asian goodies. For BBQ, hands down it's the OK Corall Barbeque Pit Stop on Greenwod: it's cheap and divey, but damn it's good!

Thai Ku in Ballard is good- especialy their lounge, the Fu Kun Wu room.

Judy Fu's Snappy Dragon is full of crack-like Chinese food options, northend/Roosevelt dist.

Madame K's for pizza in Ballard. The Northlake tavern is killer also- the kind of pizza that fills you put with two slices but you just keep eating anyway.

Ballard 4 life.
I've always liked the 5 Spot on the North side of Queen Anne. z'teja's on the eastside is good, but I don't like cornbread. Fedo (downtown) is pretty good too, but a little overdone on the Irish theme. My friends and I are all poor college students so our fancy restaurant of choice is Red Robin. :bonk:

Just pasted this shop heading home from Fluidride. Love the name, but there is no way in hell I could Kevin in there without some type of cheese offerings:disgust1:

it's worth the try. it's greasy, spicy (some items) and not very healthy. I recommend the Gyro, pass on the side of pasta salad and get some fries.

The best straight up Teriyaki is Nasai on 145th and Lake City way. Something about the sauce.
Their version of Kung Pao chicken is pretty damn good too but is nothing even close to Kung Pao chicken I get anywhere else. But I would take it over anyone elses though FWIW.

My favorite general Teriyaki is the Teriyaki Time on 116th and ? In Kirkland. Its right next to Danny's pub. Their spicey (mild for me) chicken teriyaki and egg roll special is about the best asian food I've ever had. That sounds wrong but it isn't. A little bit of spicey chicken, rice and a little bit of there salad with ranch on it in every bite:biggrin:  :cupidarrow:  Where is that Homer Simpson slober smiley at?

For beef, Amy used to get me this noodle and beef dish from someplace downtown. The noodles were fat and sort of chewy. It was usually a little on the hot side for my tastes, but oh so good!
