Whats your bike size?

Ive been thinking about this for a while, actually ever since I got my v10 last year.
Im not too big, about 1.75m which is about 5.9.
Since last year Ive been running a Medium sized v10 which seems to work really well.
But from the moment I had to decide on what size to get I was thinking of maybee trying a size Small just because it would be easier to throw around and easier to corner.
Ive sat on a Small m3 from a mate and it didnt really seem to be short as in a way that I would bump my knees against the bars or anything, so I though why not get a Small DH bike next time...

Any of you guys ride a DH bike thats not really your size but maybee a bit smaller and how do you like it?

I'm 5'6 with a medium bullit. I don't like really short bikes, like small as-x's. It's perfect. I could even ride a large.

hey dude, hmm...i m about 196cm or 6.5? and i ride a large v10...i ve ridden a small v10 from a friend back in peru and it was cool, didn t have trouble going over rocks, the vpp rocks, just had trouble with the crowns and being able to lower my upper body enough. i really think i should use a large, cause had the same trouble with a medium. my old bikes used to be medium and it was cool, my large v10 just feels better for me. cheers

Small bikes feel squished/tight to me. A smaller bike would be easier to throw around, but it will have a slight bmx'ish feel and be a little less stable. Ride one before you buy one.

OK, at 1.75m you're about 5'9" instead of 5'5". I don't think you'd want to ride a small V10 at that height. I'm 5'10" and currently riding a small morewood izimu with a eff TT of 22.2". On a tight trails, it feels awesome because it is so easy to throw it around but on a wide open high speed stuff, I kinda wish I went with the bigger size.

Aijt thanks mate, I used a website to calculate that automatically and it said 5.5...

The high speed open stuff would indeed be a little more sketchy but most races here (Europe) are on tight technical tracks so Im curious if its worth the sacrifice.

Oh and Yeti, your bike is a frgiggin horse man, I allmost had to jump on it to ride it last summer

Im 5'11" and ride a Large Demo 9 with 50mm havoc stem 28" easton monkey lite DH handlebars. 5 years ago i had a bighit medium and use to smack my knees into the top of the stanchions. But i use to ride moto so a large bike feels more natural for me, i can corner my demo like a bat out of hell!!!

A guy i rode with has a small Turner DHR that i jumped on for a sec and i felt like a clown at a circus riding one of those pocket bikes, the guy that owned it was 5'2" i think.

It all depends on what youre comfortable riding and what youre using the bike for. Ride the bike for sure before you buy, just like a girlfriend!

I'm 6 feet, and I ride a medium Demo 8. It's super bueno. It's very maneuverable and the wheelbase isn't insanely long like on the size L.

I'm 193 cm and felt OK on my previous medium demo9 but better on my Large DHR. But that´s probably more due to different angles than effTT-measurements. Different rear shocks also make difference. I for one think Steve Peat look cramped on his little V10.

You think the wheelbase is to long on a Large Demo? I guess for some riders it may feel that way, but if you install a dual crown lowrider kit for 888 or bxxr wc it brings that base in a inch or two. Then throw on a shorter stem and youre ready to whip that bike like my last girlfriend haha. I would like to get out and test ride some mediums, guess i should have went to interbike but my boat had a hole in it. :disgust:

im 6'1" and i ride a medium sgs and it fits perfect. i dont want to go smaller or bigger. i like to have my room in the cockpit but i still feel like the bike is very manuverable and isnt overwhelming me at all. hope that helps man.

I'm between sizes, and really liked the feel of the larger size bike with a short stem much more than the smaller bike with a longer stem.

6' 1", medium Demo 8. If the seat tube was a bit slacker I'd be set, but I don't want a L because of the WB.
