Does it exist? AFAIK, only Hadley, Sun-Ringle, DT Swiss and (now apparently) Atomlab make 165mm spaced rear hubs. Anyone know of anything cheaper? Like $100 cheap? Maybe some OEM crap getting blown out? I have a nice pair of 32 hole 823s and an Iron Horse SGS with noname 36 hole hubs and a 165mm rear...

yup, they do
Just checked their site and their cat says 135 and 150 only.

Anyone with a QBP/BTI account seeing differently?

Maybe IH/Tomac/Someone who built frames with 165mm spacing has some rolling around in a box somewhere?

find the number for formula, call them direct?
They're a bunch of Taiwanese dudes...their website is a scary Flash abortion evidently programmed by a bunch of drunken Taiwanese college kids. I don't think they even have any US reps.

then what other companies would use this size and maybe have some extras in stock.
maybe Ironhorse, other companies do use the 165mm size. why not call them?

I've emailed Iron Horse...Only other companies I know of that made 165mm bikes were Tomac and Nicolai, both of which aren't viable options (Tomac is essentially gone, Nicolai is in Germany). Some guy said something about WTB making some hubs for IH, so I emailed them as well to see if they have anything.

I also sent an email to Formula...not really expecting anything but "You want 10000 units?" to come back.

Just suck it up and buy Ringle 165mm. Then stock up on 'em hub cartridge bearings. Wait, nevermind, the SGS is not as stiff as the Mpire's stubborn rearend. You're good. :p

I have a spare Be One TLC 165mm rear hub/wheel. I think it works.
Questions. Is there a way I can use a 150mm DeeMax, with some sort of spacers, on a 165mm spaced rearend?

yes and no. its just the non-drive side that is wider, so get some sort of disc adapter on the hub. i have a hadley one here, to con vert a 135 hub to 145, for tandems. but it comes with a 10mm spacer for the hub/disc brake flange

this idea, is not recommended

This interests me. Does anyone make an adaptor for 150 to 165?

eh... the hub shells are the same usually on these hubs. Hadley yes (not the original hadley hub made for santa cruz V10) but the ones bought from them are. should be for other hubs, but i don't know for sure.

if you find out, i'd love to know

WTB was nice enough to respond with a "sorry, we don't have any".

I can understand Formula not emailing me back as I doubt any of them can speak English...Iron Horse? Ska Todd? Dante? anyone out there?

I have a 165 OE ironhorse hub from a sgs laced with dt alpines to a ex 823. If you want 823's on your bike and 32 vs. 36 is not that important
I also am selling the frunto wheel with the same set up

I guess Iron Horse isn't interested in even responding to questions unless I start a bitchy thread about how much they suck on an internet message board?

Yeah, I won't be buying a Sunday for my next bike as I'd planned...Thanks guys.
