Greg,

Really impressed with your work. Brilliant eye for detail and very well executed.

On a far less trick, but still "custom" note, here's Guy on his FG sporting 32" wide bars via some inserts. Dumpy photo of Dumped 3 across a hip. It's not for everyone, but I know I could get very used to this set-up.

Cheers!

Holy Leverage!

Does each grip have it's own zip code?
Just kidding.

Thanks Landon. I wish I had more time to do this stuff.

PS: For the other Fall Guy owners, I have extra decals in both black and white if anyone wants them. (Free).
Just PM me.

haha you NW guys are outta control with your huge bars
That's kind of what I was thinking. Although I run 28" bars on my fall guy, and Slams on my BMX, and I'm considering fly mike day bars. So I can't really say too much.

GM, your bike is an absolute work of art. Just awesome. Are you running a 3/8" axle on the rear? Also, what model marzocchi fork (obviously lowered) do you have on there?

As far as those 32" wide bars are concerned, all I can say is dang!

Many Thanks Trust!

It's because of you I discovered the Fall Guy and the 3 speed hub!

I am currently using the 3/8" axle with a reducing washer on the non drive side.
On the other side I modified the 3/8" Profile der. hanger by welding the back side and then machining it to 14mm wide. I have the 14mm axle also, I just haven't had the time to make another der. hanger.

The fork is a Z1 with custom internals. I bought it used and found that a piece of broken off spring caused some damage. I had not intended to re-engineer the thing, but it was easier and faster for me to machine new pumping rods than wait for Marz. to get back to me (through my LBS).

Thanks again,
GM

thanks vas. i dont think you'll notice that much of a difference from your fork and mine at 65mm. you would adjust easily.

Nice build! Where did you get the FS100? How you like that Coalition hub?
thanks. the hub is smooth and too new to tell. i asked greg at coalition some Q's about the hub. its got 4 pawls and a massively drilled out axle. no Ti upgrades available yet but the drilled out cromo axle is very similar weight to a solid Ti axle. i love it

tire i got through someone with a hookup

You guys are building nice bikes!

Boxxer, those blues look so good together. Your bikes always look well thought out.
Did you ever consider blacking out the lettering on the tires? The yellow and red don't really help the theme. (Just my opinion)

You could do the Nemesis decal in chrome. Or better yet, blue.

Thanks GM. I got two nemesis forks, but the all blacked out(bomber and nemesis logos) went on the green P that I just finished.

Ill probably black the yellow/red on the tires like you suggested. Ill make some adjustments and repost when shes done.

Thanks GM, ill take your advice on the tires. I had an all blacked out Z1 from Nemesis but that went on the green/black P that I just finished(no photos of it done yet, but maybe some action shots from the park tonight).

hey Boxxer,

Awsome bike, super clean lines. i have the same wheelset waiting for my fall guy! What are your forks lowered to? I know you can go either 100mm, 80mm or 65mm through nemesis.

Also, how does the FG ride with 65mm forks as compared to 80mm? (such as gold label or jumpers.)

thanks.

The travel doesn't really make a difference, it's the AC that counts.

AC? please explain. i understand a short axle to crown length is best on a FG. 460mm being the perfect length according to tonic fab. How would a nemesis 60mm lowered z1 (430mm axle to crown) effect the riding geo. sorry for the confusion

thanks

AC is axle to crown. As far as riding impressions on 65 or 80mm on my Z1 its too early to say. 65 would steepen the HA ofcourse, and thats what I like at the park....

anything with a shorter AC than 460mm will make it handle quicker. I ran a DJ at 80mm for a week or so, and I wasn't too happy with that set up, because it was too, and was not the intended AC the fall guy was designed for. I rode a Nemesis Z1 at 65mm for about 6months, and that was an awesome set up. The bike handled really well in the park and on the at the trails. I highly reccomend riding a fall guy with a nemesis Z1. The difference between 65mm of travel and 80mm does not make a noticeable difference it terms of suspension performance for the type of riding a fall guy is intended for..(in my opinion at least). The Nemesis Z1 was probably the best fork I've ever owned for dirt/street/park riding. They are really progressive. Smooth up top, yet hard to bottom out. I don't have any experience with a Gold Label, so I can't comment on it.

Heres a couple of fresh ones from today(its overcast) and then me on the 3rd time over the box jump... it feels pretty good already.

Its hard to describe but it usually takes me longer to get used to something so different. The FG just feels easy to ride. Ill get some better riding photos up soon after I spend some more quality time with her. I think that was within the first 100 feet of riding her after finishing assembly that morning.
