Well, I never got to post my, "Holy crap! My new downhill bike is here!" post and show pics when I got it earlier this year because I was too busy... but I know it's almost a rite of passage here at Ridemonkey, and I think I deserve it, after posting over 500 posts about other stuff.

So here it is: 2006 Iron Horse Yakuza Kumicho. The only upgrade I really thought it needed was a blingy white deity bar. Isn't it a beauty? (Okay, I know the pics are small.)

Nice bike capt'n. If I see you out riding it at a certain nearby undisclosed location, I'll be sure to stop and say hey.

Nice, hope you like it. I also bought a Kumicho earlier this year. The only thing that I can really complain about is the paint quality. My whole swingarm is basically bare... all of the paint flaked off within the first two months.

How does it ride?

I'm thinking of getting a yakuza type r...
It rides really nice. Really smooth. My previous bike was a Cannondale Gemini 900 with a DH setup. Once I got the Yakuza, I wouldn't even get on the Gemini anymore.

I rode the most at Shaums March's bike camp at Snowshoe, WV, in August. Had a blast. Glad I got the bike.

is that the same one you're selling?
Yep, except it doesn't come with the deity bar.

It pains me to sell the bike, but realistically, I never get to downhill anymore. I only had a chance to ride three times this season--once locally, once at a race that it totally poured at (so I didn't race because I hadn't practiced enough to handle the slippery conditions) and once when I went to bike camp. So... no more downhilling for me I guess until I get another job where I'm not a manager and don't have to work nights and weekends last minute and b.s. like that.

I love this bike!
