ok, got a question for the general lee (or other bmx cruiser) owners. Which fork will fit a 2.4 holy roller? I currently have one instaled on a stock dk 24" fork (with about 1/2" ground out of the fork on each side, sketch eh?) Im reluctant to buy any other bmx type 24" fork, for fear of lack of clearence. I need something with 14mm drops. k-rads dont cut it.

Anyone?

HighonBoost: Thanks for the kind words. I hope the bike continues to put a smile on your face.

ballturret17: Isn't running a smaller tire safer than grinding a fork for clearance? Trying to win a "Darwin?"

I couldn't even believe this photo of Guy. Thanks James.

small tires do not cut it for street (for me), hence why the question was asked. Im sure the steel will hold for what im doing. Anyone know anything better? thanks.

ballturret17 - I used to run 24x2.125 Comp III's inside an S&M cruiser Pitchfork. It was kinda of tight but worked. I'm guessing at least a 24x2.2 DMR Moto would work as the 2.125 Comp III's are pretty big tires.

I would get that fork anyway as from what I know it's the toughest cruiser for out there. Another option is to have Chris @ Thick make a fork for you, but that would be some $$$.

after sitting here most of the afternoon i've decided this fall guy jobbie is my next bike,
its going to be fairly tough to source one here in the uk so i might have to be a bit patient,
i've started a mental list of bits i've already got for the build, i'd be grateful if you'd have a look through the list and comment?
any other idea's for the build up would be appreciated!

profile 36 spoke ss cassette hub 14mm ti axle/9t ti driver/14mm ti nuts
profile 36 spoke mini front hub/ti bolts
THE eliminator 36 spoke rims

profile 180mm race cranks/ti axle/ti flush bolts/ti c-ring bolt/hop up bearings
profile gas pedals
profile imperial ti 25 tooth chainring

kmc 710 sl ti chain
paul moto lite v-brake/ paul love lever

chris king ti headset
s&m redneck xlt stem
gussett open prison 3" rise bars

tioga comp 10 24x1.75 tyres

also,

what would be the perfect stock fork for the fall guy frame?
bearing in mind i'm in the uk so it will be really difficult to get a nemesis fork?
i'm 6'3"

ta very much!

u should ask landon to make u a ti fall guy.

i had a titanium "20 race bike a good few years back but could never get on with the zingy elasticity of a ti frame,

i'm fully committed to steel frames!

what type of steel are the fall guy frames made from?

my standard "24 is ox platinum and my s&m is super therm heat treated, do tonic use tech metals?

Standard 125r: We use standard aircraft certified 4130. The FG costs quite a bit more than a good BMX because of the amount of forming that goes into the components of this frame, and the tiny number which are produced.

only 2 concerns would be your front hub and headset. newer fallguys have integrated hs so you wont be able to use the chris king. if you want to run a bmx front hub and susp fork, your only option is a fork with quick release. ie QR goldlabel, older dj3 or a rigid dmr/funn..

could you advise me how i can get hold of one in the uk?

would i be able to order a regular headset frame?

My FG is FINALLY built. I'll get better pics later. Initially it feels good. Manuals REALLY well, but bunnyhops are definately different than on the DOC I rode before. I want to make it a bit lighter, but that will happen slowly.

Yeah, it's one clean looking frame!

I'm no Guy Marsh myself, but I figure this bike will make learning easier and it's better to spend money on cool bikes than blow.

Just be ready for a BIG change from a 26er. The jump from my DOC is really huge. It's got a very BMX feel, just a bit "softer".

i grew up racing bmx, spent at least 5 good years riding and few of those racing. i know street bikes differ from race bikes with geo a bit, but it shouldnt be too shocking. thats one reason why i want a 24, a bit more bmx feel to get back to my roots.

once you get used to it, bunnyhopping will feel amazing. you just have to think about hopping, and you're already done with it. since i dont do alot of crazy tricks alot of my street riding involves hopping onto random weird **** i come across and the fallguy made me have THAT much more fun. i actualy made the same switch, doc to fallguy.

everyones fallguy looks sooo nice and clean in these pics. do i really have the only fallguy with grindmarks on the chainstays or is everyone else just that much smoother? :)

I was peepin a ledge and then looking at my virgin stays and decided to wait another week. Hops are ridic on this bike, but my manuals have payed a price. I over compensate on almost every move right now. After riding my FG for a few weeks, then taking my 26 out for a spin, I cased the first curb I went to hop, lammmeee. The FG does feel as if it knows what I want to do before I do it. SUPER easy spins, and at the skate park, it kills my 26 inch.
