I want to get a summer job somewhere in the states that has good downhilling. I like Windrock and Snowshoe and I want to see some good stuff out west. Any suggestions?

You'll get more time riding your bike if you get a real job, then just ride in your free time. I'm guessing you wanted to work at a resort. Bar tending is a great option, as is delivering pizzas, being a security gaurd, or stocking a grocey store/super market late at night. All my friends that worked at resorts made almost no money, and would get only 2 runs in on a good day.

Northstar in Lake Tahoe is supposed to be open this summer, but the east coast probably has more lift-assisted places to ride than the west does. Mammoth is really fun, but I don't know how much more there is to ride nearby besides the resort. If you're open to just regular mountain biking, and don't mind pedaling around, Colorado, Utah, Oregon, Washington and much of CA are all great places to be.

Above you on the podium.
Come to the Bellingham/Ferndale/Linden area. We have plent of trails (no lift access though, many are shuttleable if your in the know) and are only 2 hours from Whistler and an hour for the Shore. Stephens pass is talking about opening up next summer for bikes, so you will be pretty much surrounded by resorts.

Check out Park City, UT great restaraunts to make some cash, ride all day, work at night. killer snow at 5 resorts in the winter, two mountains running lift access to mountain bikes in the summer, and they host a norba national. Not to mention the Wasatch Range in the Rockies which has some primo riding, and Salt Lake City is just minutes away with an international air port.

If you're sticking with the East Coast. You'll probably want to be within a few hours of Diablo and Plattekille for weekend riding jaunts, although making money in Roxy, NY or Vernon, NJ will probably be tough.
